Your gift will help improve the vision health of our community. The EyeSight Foundation of Alabama welcomes your tax-deductible contributions to help us achieve our mission to improve eyesight through education, research and access to care. Since 1997, The EyeSight Foundation has distributed more than $43 million to vision efforts in our community. To see a list of these important projects go to the Report to the Community page.

You can designate your gift towards RESEARCH into eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma, to name a few. Your gift can also be designated towards the many COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS we support through grants, such as indigent eye care, assistive technology devices for persons with low vision, training of future eye doctors, training of teachers of the blind and visually impaired, vision care for children, and support groups for blind and visually impaired. Or, you could make an UNRESTRICTED GIFT that would be applied to the area with the most need.

The EyeSight Foundation is a Type III Supporting Organization, to primarily support the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital, Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Association, and the vision projects at the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, although other organizations carrying out similar projects may receive support.

As a Type III Supporting Organization, the EyeSight Foundation has certain limitations on the gifts it can receive and the grants it can award.
